Palataanpa vielä pääsiäistunnelmiin. Enpä muista toista näin lämmintä pääsiäistä, Kesäsaaren rannassakin tuntui melkein kesältä.
Belgialaiset Gudrunin pienet ruohomunat ovat jo meidän pääsiäisperinteemme. Olin ostanut virpojia varten muita pieniä suklaamunia palmusunnuntaiksi ja mies alkoi heti haikailla, että eikö meillä tänä vuonna olekaan niitä, joita on ollut JOKA VUOSI, ne ovat niin hyviä. Gudrun pakkaa pääsiäismunat söpöön tötteröön ja niitä on kyllä sen verran, että suklaaövereitä riittää joka pääsiäispäivälle.
Pääsiäispupu toi meille muutakin pääsiäisyllätystä. Äidilläni on tapana muistaa meitä Villeroy & Bochin suloisilla pääsiäiskoristeilla. Tänä vuonna saimme hauskat pääsiäismunarasiat!
Lisäksi äiti oli muistanut jokaista pääsiäisen viettäjää saman valmistajan pupuisilla munakupeilla. Nämä laitetaan visusti talteen ja otetaan esiin tulevinakin pääsiäisinä. Kiitos, äiti!

A few words and pics about Easter. I don't recall another Easter that would have been so sunny and warm! It felt almost like summer on our Summer Island.
Belgian chocolate eggs made by the company Gudrun are our Easter tradition. I had already bought some other small chocolate eggs the previous Sunday to give out for kids who walk from door to door and do a thing called virpominen. Virpominen is an old Easter tradition. Children decorate willow twigs with feathers and colourful pieces of paper. Then they dress up as witches and go for "trick-or-treating". Except that they don't trick anyone. They give you a blessing, hand out the decorated twig and receive candy as a thank-you.
Well, my husband started complaining that were we not going to get those extra good-tasting small chocolate eggs we have EVERY YEAR. Meaning those Gudrun eggs. So I just had to get a package.
My mother has the tradition of giving us a gift of Villeroy and Boch figures every Easter. This year she got us these lovely china Easter egg - plus she had a matching eggcup for everyone! These objects will be bringing us joy at spring-time, year after year.
